Privacy Policy
This is a small contractor's website. It exists so you can look at our work and ask us for an estimate — so there is not much to tell, and we would rather say it plainly.
The short version
We collect what you type into our estimate form, and nothing else. We use it to reply to you about your project. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not use it to advertise to you. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
What we collect
Information you give us
If you fill in the estimate form on our contact page, we receive what you entered:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address, if you choose to give one
- Your city or town, if you choose to give one
- The type of project you selected
- Anything you wrote in the details box
Only your name and phone number are required. Everything else is optional, and the form works without it. If you would rather not use the form at all, just call us — there is no form involved in a phone call.
Information collected automatically
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare records standard server data when a page is requested — IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. That happens at the hosting layer, is used to serve and protect the site, and we do not build profiles from it or connect it to your estimate request.
What we do not collect
No accounts, no passwords, no payment details, and no payment processing of any kind happen on this website. We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, session recording or social media tracking. There is no login area.
Why we have it, and how long we keep it
We use what you send to respond to your inquiry, prepare an estimate, and carry out work if you hire us. That is the only purpose.
Estimate requests stay in our email so we have a record of what was discussed. If you would like yours deleted, ask and we will delete it — see Your choices below.
Who else sees it
We share your information with almost nobody. Specifically:
- Our form provider. The online estimate form is not switched on yet — at the moment it asks you to phone us instead, and submitting it transmits nothing anywhere. When it is switched on it will be delivered by FormSubmit, a service that takes the submission and emails it to us, so it will pass through their systems on the way to our inbox. We will update this page if that provider changes.
- Our email provider. The message arrives in, and is stored in, our business email account.
- Our web host. Cloudflare, as described above.
- When the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we never have. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call (503) 803-2928 or use the contact page and say so. We will not charge you for it and we will not make you jump through hoops.
If we ever start sending marketing email — we do not currently — every message will carry a working unsubscribe link. Replies about an estimate you asked us for are not marketing.
California residents
We post this policy in part because California's Online Privacy Protection Act asks any commercial website collecting personal information from California residents to do so, and to link to it conspicuously. That link is in the footer of every page on this site.
To be straightforward about scope: we are a small local contractor and do not meet the revenue or volume thresholds that make the California Consumer Privacy Act apply to us. We are telling you we do not sell your data because it is true, not because a statute compels us to say it here.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging work on a property. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because we do not run accounts, store payment data or keep a customer database on this website, the amount of information exposed to a website breach is very small. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Links to other sites
Where we link out — for example to our Google profile or the Oregon Construction Contractors Board — those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top. If the change is significant — for example if we add analytics — we will say so plainly rather than quietly editing the text.
