Accessibility Statement
We want anyone who needs a shower rebuilt to be able to use this site and reach us. Here is what we have done about that, and what to do if we have got something wrong.
Where we stand
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We have deliberately not written "this site fully conforms," because no honest site owner can guarantee that across every page, browser and assistive technology without a formal independent audit — and we have not commissioned one.
What we actually did
These are concrete measures built into the site, not intentions:
- Keyboard access. Every link, button, menu and form field can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. Focus is never trapped anywhere you cannot escape.
- Visible focus. A clear focus outline is drawn on whatever the keyboard is currently on, including on the dark sections where a default outline would disappear.
- Skip link. A "Skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard or screen reader user reaches on every page.
- Color contrast. Text and interface colors were checked programmatically against the WCAG AA thresholds — 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and interface boundaries — and failures were fixed rather than accepted.
- Real headings. Each page has exactly one H1 and a heading structure that follows the visual structure, so a screen reader's heading list is actually useful.
- Image descriptions. Every photograph has alt text describing what it shows. Purely decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
- Forms. Every field has a real, programmatically associated label. Errors are announced, marked on the field itself, and described in text rather than by color alone.
- Motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the scroll animations do not run and the 3D diagram renders as a single still image instead of animating.
- Normal scrolling. The site uses your browser's own scrolling. Nothing hijacks, smooths or intercepts it, so it behaves the way you have configured it to.
- Zoom and text size. Layouts are built in relative units, so enlarging text or zooming to 200% reflows the page rather than clipping it.
- Works without JavaScript. If scripts fail or are blocked, all content is still visible and readable, and the phone numbers still work.
Known limitations, stated plainly
- The 3D diagram. The exploded shower assembly on the home page is a visual aid. Everything it conveys is also written out in the text and captions beside it, so nothing is lost if you cannot see or load it. It is skipped entirely on low-powered devices and when reduced motion is requested.
- Photographs of past work. Alt text describes each project image, but a short description cannot fully convey a room. If you would like a fuller description of any project, call us and we will happily describe it.
- Sites we link to. We link out to our Google profile and to the Oregon Construction Contractors Board license lookup. We do not control those sites and cannot speak for their accessibility.
- No independent audit. Testing so far has been done by the site's builder using automated contrast and structure checks plus keyboard testing — not by a third-party auditor or a panel of assistive technology users.
If something does not work, tell us
This is the part that matters most. If any part of this site blocks you, we want to know, and we will fix it or get you the information another way.

We can also just take your project details over the phone. Nobody has to use this website to get an estimate from us.
Why we bother
Businesses open to the public are expected to be reachable by disabled customers under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Oregon's public accommodation law. Beyond compliance, a fair number of the bathrooms we build are being remodeled precisely for accessibility — curbless showers, benches, grab-bar blocking. It would be strange to build those and then put up a website you cannot use.
